Once inside, the space effortlessly glides from foyer to living room, where sunlight pours in, accentuating the cozy fireplace and fine crafted wood mantle. The dining room showcases classic Craftsman built-ins, meticulously enhanced with designer upgrades. Culinary adventures come to life in the sunny, high styled designer kitchen, featuring a Viking range, quartz countertops, and spacious island, ideal for meal prep. Southwest Berkeley is located less than two miles from Downtown Berkeley and is one of the area’s most popular residential neighborhoods. If you are looking for investment properties near UC Berkeley, Southwest Berkeley is a great place to explore. Multi-unit duplexes provide affordable housing options for college students and faculty, and make a great addition to a real estate investment portfolio. Other great features of Southwest Berkley include a convenient access to Northwest Berkeley’s Fourth Street, Berkeley Marina, and a variety of local shops and restaurants.

The City of Berkeley offers beautiful public parks, each of which has its own amenities and features. Southwest Berkeley residents love to visit San Pablo Park, which is located in between Russell and Ward Streets. This spacious park is ideal for morning or afternoon walks with the dog, or gathering with friends for your favorite outdoor activities. San Pablo Park’s amenities include two different playgrounds for toddlers and school-aged children, basketball courts, lighted tennis courts, two soccer fields, and a spacious multi-use field perfect for flag football or Ultimate Frisbee.

Most of Southwest Berkeley’s popular restaurants can be found on or near San Pablo Avenue, which effectively runs in between the neighborhood. Whether you are looking for a casual coffee shop before your commute, or an amazing culinary experience to share with friends, you will probably find it on San Pablo Avenue. Notable restaurants include Caffe Chiave, Longbranch Saloon, and Anchalee.

Oakland, UC Berkeley, and Albany, CA are all within a 15-minute bus ride from Southwest Berkeley. AC Transit Route 72 runs north and south on San Pablo Avenue, and with buses running every 10 minutes during the day, it’s always convenient to walk over and catch a ride. Plus, Downtown Berkeley’s BART Station is just a short rideshare away, which can take you to the Financial District or Google headquarters in approximately half an hour.
